What I do at Somerset House Trust
As the Residency Producer for Somerset House Studios, the primary focus is delivering the entire scope of residency programmes, encompassing long-term and short-term initiatives. This includes producing the year-round community building programme, including artist-led projects, offsite visits, and artist support events.
Collaborating closely with the Studios curator, the role involves identifying and implementing artist development opportunities within the resident community and managing the studio's alumni program. As Residency Producer, I ensure the seamless execution of programme deliverables, including mentorship schemes, while actively supporting artists throughout their residency experiences. From managing recruitment processes to overseeing artists' meetings, the role is crucial in relationship management with all Studios artists. Additional responsibilities include conducting the annual artist survey, fostering collaboration across different teams, working on sector research, and leading Studios tours for artists and partners
